2025 Nano Air Ultra Light

This design was one led completely by material innovation. Working closely with my material developer we tested light weight insultions for years never quite hitting the mark on durability. Then one day we got a new trial in and it worked. we kept testing it and retesting to make sure it wasnt an error. We paired it with dozens of materials to find the sweet spot and when we landed the material package the designing began. Embodying what these materials are and do together we built a weightless breathable mid layer meant to keep your own personal thermostate set to comfort.

Down Sweater

I had the opportunity to leave my imprint on one of Patagonia’s most iconic pieces, the Down Sweater. This project was all about the details. We revamped the program to use NetPlus—a material made from recycled fishing nets—effectively removing 1,400 tons of marine plastic from our oceans. To ensure this jacket stays in play longer, I worked closely with our Reno repair team to 'pick apart' the design, identifying every opportunity to improve durability and ease of repair. By simplifying the construction, I was able to reduce material consumption while simultaneously enhancing the comfort and value for the wearer.

Storm Shift

We partnered with GORE-TEX to launch their first-ever, fully fluorine-free waterproof material using their new ePE membrane. Because this was a 2L shell, we took our time researching and building out an ultralight insulating lining to keep the inside feeling soft and cozy. Durability and clean aesthetics ensure this jacket will last generations.
